Another downer on the originality front. The coil I pulled off is not the correct model number. TK6A3 6 volt would be correct for our car. It was sporting a TE6A3, which appears to be from a 1952 Volkswagen. Damn that one errant letter!
Since I am still clinging to the expensive but entertaining notion of originality, I’m lucky to find someone still testing and refurbishing original coils. Bruce Smith at Carbs-Fuel-Ignition is still keeping the faith.
