While I am quite a ways from being ready to publish, I decided it was time to try to settle on a title. Hard to start gathering feedback, approach an agent, or submit proposals to publishers if you don’t have a title. I had a few that I thought were decent contenders, but I didn’t want to make a decision in a vacuum.
In an article by Tucker Max who founded Scribe Media and wrote I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, I came across a service called PickFu. It not only provides the mechanism for a short survey, but also the audience. It was easy to use and I was pleasantly surprised that you can define the demographics of who the poll is sent to. In addition to the votes, I received quite a few insightful comments on why participants chose one option over another.
I would use the service again, and if you’re interested you can get a 10% discount off your first PickFu poll if you use my referral link. Full disclosure, I’ll get a credit if you use the link.
So without any further ado, the title that won out was Lessons My Dog Taught Me. I’ll be posting under that title unless a lightning bolt hits with something better.
