I came across an unexpected plate mounted to the edge of the engine deck lid on our 914-6.
“1967 911S ENGINE USED IN THIS VEHICLE”
It appears to be metal and attached with two screws. Presumably installed by well meaning owner or mechanic to ensure it would be serviced properly. It appears someone was tracking this car, or at least serious about performance. Alas, we don’t have this engine or the original 914-6 engine that went with the car.
